NASA has confirmed the presence of water on the Moon
Washington: Scientists from the US space agency NASA have confirmed the presence of water on the moon.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, NASA scientists have claimed that water has been seen on the surface of the moon, the amount of water in one cubic meter of lunar soil is equal to 12 ounces.
“We’ve discovered water on the moon with the help of the Sophia telescope,” NASA administrator Jim Badenstein said in a video posted on the social networking site Twitter.
Jim Badenstein says We don’t know if we can use it recently, but this discovery is the key to our recent projects on the moon.
It should be noted that some time ago, a study report said that water may be present in a concentrated state below the surface of the moon, after which the data obtained from a NASA research mission confirmed this idea.
Scientists said that three chemicals have been identified in the so-called mantle beneath the surface of the moon, which clearly indicates that the water is there in the form of ice.
NASA said that the concentration of water in the lunar mantle is almost the same as on Earth. It is important to note that the total amount of water beneath the surface of the earth, called the cruNEWS: We confirmed water on the sunlit surface of the Moon for the 1st time using @SOFIAtelescope.
The moon is a natural satellite. The distance of moon to earth is 384,400Km. Its gravity is 1.62m/s2.
Age of moon is 4.53 billion years
