LOVE FOR OUR CHILDREN

Love for our children
should be greater than our hatred,
love for our children
should be greater than possessions,
love of money and power
blinds our eyes,
opening doors
to our children's demise,
we're so busy running
after worldly wealth,
we forget to care
for our children's health,
lured and enticed
into games of darkness,
crushed and overthrown
through sorrow and sadness,
we say it's just
the way of life,
the kids must learn
to cope with the strife,
yet, they are destroyed
while we play adult games,
later in life we drown
in regret and shames,
left all alone
in our golden years,
as the children were hardened
through all their tears....
